Over 82% of Content Managed Websites now Powered by WordPress
A ever increasing 82.2% of content managed websites are now powered by WordPress, according to a report by CodeGuard in 2015.
WordPress has become such a popular CMS (Content Management System) because of its easy installation, customisation and ease of ongoing management and widely available support.

An interesting note is that the number of static pages on WordPress is now higher than blog posts. This marks a shift away from its beginnings as a blogging platform to show that more users now actually use it as fully powered websites rather than just a blog.
Another stat to point out is that WooCommerce now powers 68.1% of e-commerce websites, marking a huge growth over the last three years! Again it’s ease of product management, updates and usability are likely to be why it is so popular with users and developers.
