Google + Launches Collections Feature
This week Google has announced its new Collections feature. Collections allow Google+ users to group similar posts into topic-based sections, which appear in the new “collections” tab on Google+ profiles.
Many have commented on how similar this seems to Pinterest boards and layout. Similar to Pinterest users can follow the collections, which then appear on their feed each time they login.
This update marks a change in the Google + layout and the way users interact with their feeds. Google + is often one of the most misunderstood and considered by some as a little confusing. It is hoped that these changes will engage its users more and bring a new type of user to the platform too.
One of the early collection boards that has seen a huge amount of followers and interest is Caturday. Full of cat related stuff, of course!
